Cherry Class

We had two different activities this week. First was Culture Day. We have studied all about the United States of America. And since Mr. Chad is from America,he taught everything about his country,and showed us many exciting places to see there.



We also studied the letter T...


The other activity we had was one of Japan's tradition wherein people throw beans to a devil to drive out the things that make them sick,sad,or bad. And then they throw beans in an upward manner to welcome good health,happiness,good luck and fortune in the home. This tradition is called Setsubun or Mame-Maki or Bean-Throwing Festival...
To make the kids enjoy this activity,we did it at the park where they were chasing an ogre while throwing beans at it....they had a great time running around the dusty park!





We did it inside the school,too...and the ogre came again...


And then off to some park time...
