This week is the start of June and the start of our new Melon Class theme: Father's Day! All of us are excited to celebrate our Father's!
This week we made special Father's Day cards. One card had little pictures of our Father's with sentences describing them like "My Daddy is strong / My Daddy is smart." And today (Friday) we made very special cards that had frog shapes with the Melon Class students' photos on the face! It was great!
I can't wait for the rest of our exciting Father's Day activities this month!

5月23日（金）
FUN DAY（遠足）で、上野動物園へ行ってまいりました。
パンダが亡くなってしまい残念でしたが、
天気にも恵まれ、子供達も先生も楽しい一日を過ごすことができました
今回は、動物のＦeeding Timeに合わせて園内を移動したので、
普段なかなか見られない動物の様子を見ることができたのも、子供達には貴重な体験になったと思います。
カワウソさんは、上手に前足を使ってお魚を食べていましたね
ペンギンさんの餌の時間には、野性の鳥がおこぼれをもらいに来ていました
アシカさんは投げられる魚を見事にキャッチしていましたね。
どれも子供たちは目をキラキラさせて熱心に見入っていました。
FUN DAYを通して、子供たちに動物を思いやる優しい気持ちが芽生えていたら、とてもうれしいです。
この感動を忘れないように、スクールでも思い出話に花を咲かせたいと思います。
お家でも、写真を見ながらでもお話してみてくださいね。
では、また月曜日、元気な笑顔に会えるのを楽しみにしています。

最近とてもよいお天気が続いて、お散歩日和が続いていますね。
スクールのみなさんも毎日光が丘公園に遊びに行っています。
公園にはたくさんのお花が咲いていて、小さなお友達(植物)と触れ合っています。
チェリークラスのみなさんも小さな命の大切さを理解しているようです。
スクールにも、プランターでお花畑を育てていて、みなさんの笑顔に負けないくらい
かわいらしく咲いています。
明日はスクールの遠足です。明日晴れますように

Melon Class is coming along very well! Our new student H is making lots of friends too!
In May our class theme is Mother's! In May we all celebrate Mother's Day and it's a special time to remember all the important things that our mother's do for us! We've already done so many fun Mother activities. For example today we made cute kangaroo cut-outs with baby kangaroos ("joeys") in the mother's tummy. We had such fun making them!
Yesterday (Thursday) all of our classes went to Hikarigaoka Park for a special park picnic party! All of the children sat on picnic benches and looked at the beautiful trees and flowers around us. We painted nice pictures of nature. It was really fun! After that we played tug-of-war and made water balloons. I can't wait for the next picnic in the park!
