Melon Class

Today we had a very important event 'Mame Maki' in our school. It was really nice to see the kids dressed with their mask and throwing beans at Devils. It was so fun.

Last week , we learned about different countries flags and their cultures. We made yummy dishes.

Culture Day!

This week for our Culture Day, Mr. Luke showed us some interesting facts about Australia. He told us about the oldest song of homeless guy who named his bag "Matilda" and walking with it in a waltzing manner, hence the song title "Waltzing Matilda"...
He also showed us a video on how they mix tea in Australia...and the kids tried it,too....


The kids tried to spin the bucket without spilling the water inside.
We also did face painting like the aborigines of Australia...





And lastly, we copied and colored some flags...

Fun and interesting activity

As the children talk about what year they were born and what animal it was on that certain year, we decided to make the animal for this year, which is the "Sheep"
And as we go along studying the different cultures of the different countries, we made our handy passport, wherein the children collected the stamps and different flags of the counries they decided to visit.
They enjoyed learning about other countries and collecting stamps and flags of te different countries.

雨で外に行けなかったので、ボール投げをしました。アルファベットに向けてボールを投げて、当たったアルファベットが頭につく単語を言ったら次の人へ交代♪
英語を学びながら、たくさんexerciseもできたね！！

だるま落としの色付け後、十二支の絵本で十二支を呪文のように唱えたみんな。十二支迷路に挑戦しました。


ひよこ組
十二支絵本のあとは、十二支色塗り♪
そのあとは、羊のおもちゃ作り。

糸巻きの歌を歌いながら、コップをふわふわの羊にしました♪
顔、尻尾を付けて……羊を後ろに引いて手を離すと！羊が動いた～♡みんな、大喜びでした。

Melon Class

The class theme for January is culture. Our school is international so there are many cultures here that we can learn. We have also started making the devil's mask for beans throwing festival.

Last week we had show and tell. Kids introduced their toys.

We had some painting on 2015.

Kids also enjoyed outdoor activities in the Hikarigaoka Park.
