On the 5th day of our Summer School, we went to the Sunshine city in Ikebukuro. In the morning at around 9:30, we gathered at Chikatetsu Narimasu station and took the Yurakucho line towards Higashi Ikebukuro. In the Sunshine City,we enjoyed watching different animals and the feeding shows too.
On the 6th day, we went to the big pool in the Akatsuka Park. In the afternoon,we had Nagashi Somen. It was fun to get the noodles from the moving water. We also had delicious almond chocolates. Later, we studied about Arizon which is one of the important states in the USA.

On the 3rd and 4th day of our Summer School, we learned about Hawaii and Alaska. In the morning, after the assembly time and yoga, we did Hula dance.
As it was a hot and humid day, we enjoyed water play in the big pool.
To support our theme, we made Lei out of the construction papers, strings and straws. We also made Hawaiian Pancakes for lunch. It was fun to learn about the different landscapes features,cultures,food and costumes of the different states of the USA.

The theme of our Summer School is ‘ Exploring 5 of the 50 States’. In the morning, we sang songs to introduce ourselves and did exercises. To beat the heat, we enjoyed splish and splash in the pool too. 
To support our theme, we printed T-shirts. We painted stripes with the red paint and had handprint on it.
We studied about ‘California’, one of the important states of the USA. We made shell pendants out of the clay,strings and shells.

On the 7 th and 8 th day, we learned about ‘burnable’ , ‘non-burnable’ garbage and also ‘waste-management’. We watched video on the ‘waste management’. In the afternoon , we had Nagashi Somen for lunch. It was fun to pick up noodles and chocolates quickly. All the kids took part actively and we had a fun time together. 
We made Eco-Planter out of the pet-bottles and planted Parsley and Spinach seeds. To beat the heat, we enjoyed splish and splash in the big pool. And we had watermelon-hitting also. All the kids even small kids tried their best to hit the watermelon and the best part was to eat the delicious watermelon together.
