MAME-MAKI or BEAN-THROWING

We have celebrated Mame-Maki this week,yesterday in school and today at the park. The children have made their mame-maki box where they can put their beans to use for throwing at the devils to go out and to throw upwards to welcome fortunes in. This was one of the Japanese culture where kids at school enjoyed celebrating especially when they are chasing the devils they are going to throw beans at. Although some small kids got scared of the scary faces it was still a very fun event!




They get to eat the leftover beans...

Trip to Ueno Zoo

Today is a sunny day, and it's just a good timing for our field trip to Ueno Zoo. The children were all excited to see all the animals in the zoo
