Today, the children learned about "The Leaning Tower of Pisa". The reason it is called leaning was because it was leaning. When the tower was under construction,it was already leaning, the reason behind this was because the foundation where they built the tower was soft like sand, that was why over the years, the tower had been leaning since it was constructed.
The children were listening intently as Ms. Melanie told them this story...☺
While everyone was waiting for pool time,we started playing some games. They go around blind-folded and when everyone says "stop",he or she will guess who the person in front of him or her just by touching...it was an interesting game because the children really had to think hard to guess who that friend is...😉
After our pool time,we prepared a grilled lunch for the children...we had pasta, mixed veggies, corn on the cob, bread and sausages and marshmallows on stick...yummyyy!!!
Everyone enjoyed their lunch...even Morgan tries to finish his sausage as he sleeps...so cute☺
After our delicious lunch,we started building our very own Leaning Tower of Pisa"...
Thank you for reading...see you again☺👍

Today is the 6th day of the Summer school the children learned about the 2 seven wonders of the world; The Great Wall of China and the Stonehenge. In Great Wall of China, we went outside the school and made the Great Wall and use that wall in eating our nagashi somenthe children had fun catching the noodles from the wall. After the children had the "nagashi somen" they splashed water to make themselves cool.
In the afternoon we made our Stonehenge
And these were the completed projects
Two more days to go to complete our 8 days of summer session. Until next time!(^-^)

Today,Ms. Melanie had told the story about Taj Mahal and for whom it was built, and then we had a little practice for our presentation on our last day...
Everyone enjoyed dancing...
Ms. Melanie also introduced a game that is played in India, that also has a similarity on our game called "duck,duck,goose"...the children are sitting around in a circle with their hands behind them and eyes closed, the child who is holding a towel or hanky will go around and drop the hanky to one of the children in the circle, and whoever got the hanky, will get up and chase the other child until he or she finds a spot to sit on,and the game continues....
It was too hot to walk under the sun to go to Akatsuka park for a swim so we decided to stay in school and let the children play and paddle with water...it was really fun...
...our activity this afternoon was making the "Taj Mahal" using different colored sand...
It was an interesting and fun-filled activity...until tomorrow...☺🎵🎵

Today,Ms. Melanie have told the children what a Hanging Garden of Babylon is. It was a Garden made by a husband for his wife so she will not get sad. This garden was made a long long time ago,but was destroyed when an earthquake hit Babylon.
Our first activity was to hit a made-up Hanging Garden of Babylon filled with candies and chocolates...while Ms. Melanie hold the other end of the rope to keep the children from hitting it too quickly...☺
Each of them had their turn hitting the garden of candies twice until it burst out with sweets...
Since the weather was too hot today,we decided to dip in the pool at Akatsuka Park...🏊eveyone had a great time...
In the afternoon, our activity was to make a miniature "Hanging Garden of Babylon"....
...and these are our finish product...
It was really fun making these crafts...until tomorrow!!!😉😉😉
